James Ho (Class of 2010) – Head of Human Resources
Q1: What’s the #1 skill you’ve gained from VSA?
I’d say it’s the ability to learn the principles and not examples. VSA has taught me to proper way to retrieve and learn information, and question it if necessary. Coming from a local school before VSA, it was a huge cultural shock for me at first. But I’m glad that I made it through with the help of VSA”s teachers. My university career would not have been successful were it not for this skill.
Q2: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? How has VSA helped you getting there?
In 5 years, I hope I’ll have learnt the working principles and practical designs of the major equipment maintained by the EMSD. I shall become a competent mechanical engineer solving problems and designing solutions every day, tasking the critical thinking skills I’ve acquired from VSA.
